ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! This is a RARE gorgeous Victorian antique W.G. and Co. limoge handled candy tray with colorful berries!!! It has been suggested to me that this looks like Holly, so this tray would be ideal for a holiday display. However, I do believe they are currants, either way, it is a stunning display! This is one of my personal favorite molds. To serve treats to a guest you would simply put a forefinger through the loop and your thumb on the finial, it is so elegant and victorian!! Look at the detail portrayed by the artist. It has raised detail at either end of the victorian dish's mold. The flower shaped top of the finial and the edges of the tray are gilded. The gilding is intact. This must have always been a treasured display only piece. It is marked with the William Guerin mark which dates it 1891 to 1932. Mary Gaston's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges" values these trays at $275.00 to $325.00 (pg 142 & 143). Size: 11" x 7 " Condition: EXCELLENT, no chips or cracks. Pieces in the background of my pictures are either currently listed or will be listed soon.
