Absolutely stunning porcelain Goebel dog is beautifully done in a cream color base with awesome darker golden shading and detail. I am only selling him because I am lucky enough to have found another one with the exact color of my last golden. This Golden actually has much more pronounced detail and is a little darker than mine. He is in excellent condition with no breaks or chips. I cannot find information as to when this one was made, but I believe it may have been sometime in the 1970's, I'm not sure. Extremely rare, I was told these large dogs are no longer made by Goebel and they have not been manufactured for quite some time. I bought the only two I have ever seen of these. Stamped in blue on his tummy 'Goebel WGermany' he also has the number 3003130 on the inside of his rear leg at the top. And, impressed into the bottom foot the same rear leg is the number 43 (which is lower than my 81 and probably explains why this dog has crisper detail than the one I'm keeping.) He is approximately 11 1/2 inches high 17 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. Quite substantial he weighs in at approximately 4 pounds. He will be very carefully double boxed with a foam cushion.
