This is a gorgeous little Mauchlin Ware thimble box with a silver(tested ) thimble The box is lined with purple and it is in very good condition ( one tiny mark on the top left side lid The picture and lettering are very clear This bridge is in Angus Scotland ( Though the modern spelling is slightly altered from this ) I know this bridge well as it is only a few miles from my home There has been a replacement wire put in the back hinge but it does not affect the little box The thimble is not stamped but it has been tested There are one or two small perforations in the rim but I think it could be the pattern This is a perfect example of Mauchlin ware
