This is the first figurine of the Meg Walker Original Signature Series.Meg has finally sculpted an original equine figurine - using epoxy sculpt. This mule figurine was originally sculpted to be featured in a 1/12 scale replica of the Longhorn Saloon from the TV series Gunsmoke.Festus rode a wonderful male mule named Ruth and Meg is a big fan of the show and Ken Curtis so "Ruth" was sculpted. We decided to cast a limited edition of 50 of the "Ruth" mules.This one is the ninth of the 50 we will cast - 9/50. They are hand cast, glazed and kiln fired china figurines. All 50 will only be sold at auction on ebay.We are all very excited about this first figurine and WILL convince Meg to do some horse sculptures in the very near future.This 9th mule was fired 2 times, using eight different glaze colors to get a complicated look of through the glaze work. Dorsal stripe, buckskin color.The Ruth mule is 1/12 scale. The same size as a Breyer Classic Model Horse. He is 6 inches tall by 7 inches long. His eyes are very life-like and the glaze work complicated with dappling. Glossy Glazes. He is signed and numbered by Meg Walker under the glaze work, so the signature is permanent.
