Part of the rare vintage Fenton Table Setting, this Three-lily Epergne in Vaseline Opalescent Hobnail! This classic 4-piece set was part of Fenton's earliest hobnail in Topaz Opalescent; production of these were 1941-1961. (Very good vintage years, eh!) Simple design is lavish with opalescence, and the lemony Topaz glass is so vivid! Epergne stands almost 7" tall, and the ruffled "block" is 8" across. Each lily is 6" tall. Happily, the condition of this set is immaculate! The lilies are as identical to each other as hand-made glass can be. The crimping on the lilies is bright with opal and unmarred; the lily bases have no nicks, rubs or chips! The Epergne Base is gorgeous as well: perfect hobs all round and terrific domed base. Double-crimped edge is uniform and unmarred. The lily receiving holes are un-nicked, with no rubs. (Lilies all fit snugly, with no wobble.) The period "Authentic Fenton Handmade" label is legible and intact, in its original position. Unmistakeably Vaseline, these pieces glow magnificently green under black light!! Definitely not showing its age, as you can see by the clarity and gleam of the glass. Glass color is dark and the opalescence is pronounced in all the right places! Please note: as always, all our glass photos are taken in sunlight. T is no coloring re-touch of photos, or trick or colorized lighting involved in the photography. "Whatyouseeiswhatyouget". No damage: no chips/cracks/repairs; mold lines from manufacture meet smoothly. Has very few of the usual straw marks, bubbles and impurities within the glass for its age! Terrific condition, and no signs of use. Very clean: no watermarks or residue! Pieces are unmarked (outside of the paper label). Terrific Set! Best Luck Bidding!! This is old glass - one would expect to find bubbles, impurities in the glass, scratches and mold lines, etc - none of these reasons are grounds for returns-for-refund. We thank you for your bid .
