Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous big 27" Vinyl Drink & Wet baby doll made in 1964. She has markings on the back of her head that read: "HORSMAN DOLLS INC 1964 TB26." From some research I have done, I have determined that she is a THIRSTEE WALKER doll. She is an adorable toddler baby girl made the way dolls used to be made, sturdy, detailed, and beautiful with great coloring. Her entire body, head and limbs are made of a hard vinyl and/or plastic. The legs and body feel more like hard plastic while the arms and head feel more like hard vinyl. She has pretty shiny Blonde rooted hair and stunning, big, bright blue-green sleep eyes with long, thick curly lashes. She has a cute little pug nose, and a bright pink open nursing mouth with little to no paint loss. She is a drink and wet baby doll. She really is in very good condition overall with two minor exceptions- two little scratches on her face and some heaving soiling on her left arm that almost looks water stained (see photo #11). She poses beautifully and would certainly make a wonderful addition to your vintage baby doll collection or a great Easter gift for a little girl. Baby Girl is fully jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. She sits and poses very well and can be posed in several positions. Her arms are tightly jointed to hold poses with her arms well. The legs are not as tight as the arms, and tend to swing a little. All fingers and toes are present. There are a lot of details on the individual toes and fingers. There are also dimples at the knees of her chubby legs, and wrinkles on the inside of her palms of her hands. She has great overall coloring...... a nice peachy color. It is pretty uniformly even throughout the head, body and limbs. Only exception would be the upper left arm where the soiling/staining has blemished her pretty coloring. This sweetie comes wearing a darling bright pink cotton party dress. There is pretty white lace trim on the hemline, shoulders, and neckline. The sleeves are the short puffy elastic style and there are "angel wings" at the shoulders. There are two big white hearts trimmed in white lace on the skirt part of her dress. There is a pink tie in the front of the dress, right in the middle of the belted-look raised waistline. The dress closes in the back with 2 buttons. The dress is adorable on her and is in excellent condition. It is tagged and the label reads: "Kids & More- Made in Philippines." I see no tears, rips, or stains. It is clean and crisp. I have also added a new lacey white headband with pink satiny flower bow for her to wear that matches her outfit perfectly. She is wearing white anklet socks and black velveteen slip-on Mary Jane dress shoes. The shoes have a bow on them. Both socks and shoes are in very good condition with no major flaws noted. Baby Girl's head is made of a fairly hard vinyl. She has cute little chubby cheeks. Her complexion is a pretty peachy color with nicely blushed cheeks. The two flaws I mentioned above are a small scratch on her right cheek and another small but deeper scratch on her upper left cheek. You can see it in the photo. If I were keeping her I would probably try covering it with a dab of face makeup just to cover it up. Her sweet little open nurser mouth has all of its original bright pink color and looks great. Her big blue-green sleep eyes are a pretty glassine type with pinwheel centers- very pretty blue-green color. The right eye is clear and sparkling the left eye is just a tad dull - not really cloudy, just a little dull or worn, but still very pretty. They really sparkle with personality. The pictures tell the story. Her dark brush eyelashes are long, curly and full and I see no missing lashes. Her eyes open and close well with no problems. Her medium brown eyebrows look good with little to no paint loss. Her shiny Blonde hair is clean and thick. It is styled in a cute little girl style hairdo and looks adorable.
