This is a simply gorgeous Madeira tablecloth. My pictures don't do is justice. T are loads of French knots, beautiful embroidery everyw The edges are scalloped and it was done on a lovely medium weight ivory colored linen that makes the most elegant statement. When I first saw this I didn't see all the detail, only the color and I was quite impressed with the weight of the linen. I also saw the edge. It is just so pretty and quite elaborate as well. The combination which I can't capture really is that of a vanilla with a pale grey. It is just beautiful. It is almost a full banquet approaching 122" inches (66" wide). I will try to get a picture of just the colors tomorrow. All the way down the middle, the sides, corners, everyw is loaded with embroidery and it is of the most expert hand. I doubt this was used or frankly laundered or pressed. I gave it a little light pressing just to take the picture. I believe it was someone's showpiece. I will be listing another Madeira of hers, probably a custom size, too, also 122", unused as well with the tags still on t in my next listing. This is something for you to pass on as an heirloom. It is just breathtaking in person and I cannot imagine what it would look like with your favorite dishes and porcelain. It swam on my little table so I apologize for the poor presentation.
