This is a SPECTACULAR necklace! You won't be able to wear this piece without receiving many comments. The carved centerpiece of jade is just wonderful and has a lavender tint thru part of it mixed with pale green and luminescent white. The carving is of a dragon, which is the Chinese symbol for strength & protection, sitting on a leaf or lily pad. Or perhaps its a gecko---I can't tell. Anyway, it is a lovely necklace. The beads are also jade and are large, approximately 15mm. The centerpiece is large, 3 1/2 inches by 2 inches and the necklace length is 19 inches. It has a silver class and silver bead caps. T is knotting between the beads but it may eventually need restringing. This necklace is a steal as the jade piece alone is worth a small fortune. This necklace is from an older friend who has piles and piles of jewelry. Most of it was purchased from Saks, Neiman Marcus, museum stores and other high-end retailers. Most retailed for $350-650, and some even higher.
