Mountain view Cottage Pottery Antique white ironstone tureen, Ribbed Bud c: 1860 J.W.PANKHURST click on any image to enlarge Description It is easy to see why this RIBBED BUD shape, is a favorite among ironstone collectors, the deep ribs, huge bud finial and handles terminating in buds and leaves, a striking tureen to be sure. Transferware printed backstamp Stone China, Hanley, J.W.Pankhurst, c: 1860, approximately 12 1/2" handle to handle x 9 1/2" and 8 1/2" to top of finial. Wonderful condition, finial has never been replaced, no repairs, no chips, no hairlines etc., t are a few tiny brown stains on the finial and on the rim underside of the lid, this is w the lid rests on the base, when it is in place it can not be seen, please see close up pictures for details.
