THIS BELL IS NEARLY IDENTICAL TO THE BELL WHICH APPEARED IN Nov/Dec.-2010 ABA "BELL TOWER" ARTICLE ON FLORENTINE BELLS pg. 29 Fig.#6. I AM PRETTY SURE IT WAS MADE OF BRONZE. AS USUAL GORHAM FLORENTINE BELLS ARE EXCELLENT BUT I AM VERY HAPPY TO SAY (Thanks to research by A. Burgdorf) THAT GORHAM OLD FLORENTINE BELL IS TRULY COPY OF A BENVENUTO CELLINI DESIGN (Italian sculptor 1500-1571)THE BELL IS 5.25" HIGH, 2.75" DIA., ORIGINAL CLAPPER - TEAR DROP. THE HANDLE IS A LITTLE CHILD - ANGEL - PUTTO WHICH WAS OFTEN USED IN THE ART OF EUROPEAN RENAISSANCE. THE BELL IS IN EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION, NO CRACKS OR CHIPS, EXCELLENT SOUND. I except PayPal and personal checks from verified buyers.LOOK FOR MORE BELL IN MY OTHER AUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
