Gorham Pierced Sterling Silver...White Chocolate Truffle, Mocha Caramel, Macadamia...Bon Bon,Candy, Nut Dish#966Heart-Shaped This is an exquisitely crafted Sterling Silver Dish. Simply elegant in form, shape, and design. Came from a wonderful local estate auction in the Midwest, and I thought it lovely. The heart motif is what engaged me to this piece. The tripod of small silver-ball feet, the curved swirls of silver on the dish, the tiny pierced design, and certainly the shape itself all contribute to the heart form. A nice showing of quality for which Gorham Sterling is known. The detail is crisp, t are no dents, or unwarranted marks, only a slight showing of wear to the interior bottom of the dish. I have not cleaned this piece. The "patina" is exactly as purchased at auction. I also could not get the auction number off the bottom of the piece which appears in my photograph without a thorough soft polishing which I have not done.
