You are bidding on a beautiful set of sterling silver Gorham flatware in the pattern of Rose Tiara. This auction includes the following pieces: In the wooden box: 10 teaspoons (weighed on scale, 12 oz- 340.5 grams) 8 soup spoons (weighed on scale 12 oz- 340.5 grams) 9 salad forks (weighed on scale 14 oz- 397.2 grams) 10 dinner forks (weighed on scale 20 oz- 567.5 grams) 10 dinner knives (weighed on scale 28 oz- 794.5 grams) In the green felt case: 9 butter knives (weighed on scale 16 oz- 454 grams) They measure aprox. 6 3/8 inches across. In the blue felt case are the serving pieces: 2 spoons measure aprox. 8 5/8 inches 2 slotted spoons measure aprox. 8 1/2 inches The serving pieces weighed on scale 12 oz- 340.5 grams 1 slicer/server measure aprox. 7 1/4 inches The flatware is in good shape, it has been used in the past, but has been put up in storage until now. The only thing about every piece is this: back in the 1960"s the police advised people to engrave their social security number on their silver pieces. That had been done, but now the owner used an engraver again to "scribble" out the numbers on EVERY piece. SEE PHOTOS It is on the backs of the pieces of all of them except the butter knives, it's on the side SEE PHOTO . It is still a desirable collection. Please ask all questions BEFORE bidding as all sales are final. We only ship UPS, as they include shipping in their prices. If you have ever had trouble before, you would understand that is a big deal. The set comes in the wooden box, and felt cases. The box isn't in that great of shape, but holds them nicely.
