Welcome Thank you for visiting! As a graduate of Indiana University, I am obligated to say they sure do have some nice cows up t at Purdue. They also seem to know a little more about football than the gang in Bloomington, though that may be changing. As one of the premier land-grant universities of the United States, Purdue has a long history of leadership in the fields of engineering, agriculture and the sciences. They have lately developed an excellent business school and produce numerous teachers as well. This sterling silver commemorative spoon was made by Gorham for a Purdue graduate between 1875 and 1900 according to the specific marks on the reverse of the spoon. It is a graceful teaspoon about five and one-half inches in length with the bowl comprising about one and seven-eighths inches of that. Marks on the spoon include the lion passant (left-to-right), anchor and Gothic "G" along with "STERLING". T are two diamond cartouches filled with "S" and "T". The reverse of the handle is monogramed very lightly in Gothic letters "JFH". Total weight of the spoon is about fifty-six one-hundredths of a Troy ounce. T is a small pocket of lightly tarnished area near the intersection of the shank and the bowl that might buff out; no other notable condition. other collectible items in my store to view other great buys in my store: read more
