Fabulous 19th century Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal with leather and sterling silver front and back covers. The beautiful silver cover features an elegant cross with symmetrical floral motifs on each side. The reverse silver cover is equally lovely though it has the floral motif only. Printed by Eyre & Spottiswoode, printers to the King's most Excellent Majesty for Thomas Nelson & Sons, New York, August,1897. Hallmarked with the Gorham mark (lion, anchor, G) and engraved with the name Dorothy T. Hager on the inside front cover and again with the Gorham mark and the word sterling on the back inside cover.
