This is a large and heavy, 5.3 Oz, sterling silver casserole spoon by Gorham in the beautiful Versailles pattern. This serving piece is 9 3/8" long and the bowl is 2 7/8" by 3 7/8". This piece is in excellent condition without monogram or removals. It's marked near the hill on the back with the Gorham Logo and " Sterling " under it. The Versailles ' pattern was designed by Antoine Heller and patented in 1888. Inspired by the fountains at Versailles , this lovely design incorporates a female figure at the top holding a wreath.
