Gorham STRASBOURG pattern 1897 repousse STERLING SILVER fancy back TEA SPOON

Gorham Sterling Silver tea Spoon
This is a sterling silver tea spoonby Gorham, USA. The spoon is in the Stasbourg pattern, which was introduced in 1897 and has a rococo design to the handle with a fancy back . The spoon is monogrammed ALICE at the top of the handle, shown below. The spoon is marked on the back of the handle: D in a circle STERLING (USA silver standard of .925) Lion, anchor, G (makers mark) PAT 1897 Actual hallmarks shown below. Size: 145mm length Condition: There are a small indents to the spoon bowl and there is bending and mishaping of the tip area of the spoon bowl, see photos below. The spoon does need a light clean on the back of the spoon bowl and to the fancy back, see photo below for an example. There are some very minor surface
marks, tiny scratches, tiny dinks to
the spoon edges in places, these
are consistent with age and use. Weight: Weight of item without packaging 19g Item will be well packed for dispatch. I do try to keep postal costs to a minimum, but

corrugated cardboard, die cut boxes, are not
