DESCRIPTION:

Up for auction is: One Gorham Sterling Silver Large Jelly Spoon in the lovely 1897 Strasbourg Pattern. This Jelly Spoon has a carved and shell designed gold wash bowl, and is approximately 7 1/2 inches long. Although this pattern is still active, the old hallmarks were only produced until 1950. It would cost $140 to replace this spoon at some of the online replacement sites today. This spoon has the old Gorham Hallmarks of the Lion- Anchor- G on the back, Pat 1897 along with the word Sterling. T is a monogram in light script on the tip of the handle that sort of looks like KET or HET, but I am not for sure. This spoon is in beautiful estate condition with the usual scratches consistent with its age and being gently used over the years. I have lightly hand polished the pretty spoon, but any further cleaning I will leave up to the new owners.

Please understand that most of the items that I sell are usually used, vintage or antique, so please don't expect them to be as new.
