Up for bid is a beautiful Gorham Strasbourg Sterling Silver service for 8. Included with this set are serving pieces & specialty items that will be itemized in this listing. This set appears to have been slightly used & well kept. None of the pieces have been monogramed & all are in excellent condition. Included with the set is a very nice Eureka (Division Of Reed & Barton) wooden storage case. T is a total of 61 pieces including servers & specialty items as follows: 8 hollow handled blunt blade knives - 8 3/4" 8 hollow handled blunt blade butter knives - 6 1/4" 8 dinner forks - 7" 8 salad forks - 6 3/8" 8 tea spoons - 5 7/8" 8 ice tea spoons 7 5/8" 1 hollow handle carving fork - 8 1/2" 1 hollow handle carving knife - 10" 1 solid handle tablespoon - 8 1/2" 1 solid handle pierced tablespoon 8 3/8" 1 solid handle cold meat serving fork 8 1/2" 1 solid handle gravy ladle - 6 3/4" (pre 1950 marking with Lion, Anchor, G back stamp) 1 solid flat handle butter knife - 6 3/4" 1 solid handle tomato server - 7 1/2" 1 sugar shell spoon - 6" 1 butter pick with two flared tines - 5 3/4" (pre 1950 marking with Lion, Anchor, G back stamp) 1 pierced bonbon spoon - 4 3/8" 1 demitasse spoon - 4" 1 letter opener - 7 5/8"This would make an excellent addition to any collection & a good investment for the future. I have a reasonable reserve set to protect my investment. No shipping charges will be applied to shipment within the United States (Insurance included) I will have to charge $150.00 (freight charges) on shipments outside of the U.S.A.
