Heavy Gorham Sterling Cigarette Case. This is a fully hallmarked Gorham piece, 3 and a quarter by 2 and a half inches and weighing almost 3 postal ounces. It has a heavy ribbed design and that makes it sort of hard to photograph but as you can see it has a ding or two on the front case but this is not too bad and is hidden by the rib design. The latch and hinges work perfectly ( made in AMERICA ) and it has a heavy gold wash on the inside. It is tarnished and could use a good cleaning. Silver bars to hold the cigarettes are t and in very very good condition, unlike those British cases that use those old worn out elastic straps. This is a very nice piece, especially if you collect Gorham, just needs a good buffing.
