A Gort China Company glazed porcelain figurine of Alice from Alice in Wonderland . Approximately 7 1/2 inches height. With the Gort backstamp in underglaze green. Also titled 'Alice' and 'by Porcher' and dated '49' in overglaze black enamel. Gort China Company operated in Metuchen, New Jersey, from the mid-1940s to the mid-50s and was known for its figurines modeled by Eric Gort. General condition: Excellent with no cracks, scratches, losses or repairs. This item is sold as found and it does need a thorough cleaning. The buyer pays for shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Insurance is optional and is payed for by the buyer. I am happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases.
