GOSS CRESTED CHINA EWER - LARGE SIZE - JAPAN EWER? - SHEFFIELD & UNIVERSITY CRESTS A Goss china crested ewer decorated with 2 crests and measuring 200mm high. One side of the item is decorated with the arms of the City of Sheffield whilst the other side has Sheffield University. The base has the Goss factory backstamp but no item description, although I believe that it may be a "Japan Ewer". CONDITION:- The item has no chips, cracks or restoration. There is wear to the gilt rim and two original glaze flaws, one can be seen just to the right of the City of Sheffield crest and the other is below the same crest near to the foot of the Ewer.
