You are bidding on a fantastic Gottlieb's Close Encounters of the Third Kind pinball machine. Vintage 1978. I've owned quite a few pinball machines over the past several years and this one is by far the nicest original condition that I've come across. Look at the photos. T is no flaking on the back glass (which typically has issues). The playing field is great with very little to no wear. I don't believe the machine was played very much at all. The person whom I bought it from acquired it when they purchased their house. The machine came with the house and it had been sitting in the downstairs rec room in the corner un- used. The inside electronics are clean and nicely bundled. Outside of cabinet colors are bold and crisp with very little marks. I did have the original CPU board refurbished and a lithium battery added to replace the old leaky variety. I also replaced all of the original rubber bumpers and rings. The very corner edge of one of the plastic shields has been broken off and the corner of another has been glued (see photos). The machine plays very well and keeps score. It is fully and completely functional. Even comes with the original service and instruction manuals. A great opportunity to invest in an original and fun to play pinball machine.
