Mahogany secretary believed to be of American manufacture from the 1940's or 1950's. Glass doors with wood fretwork enclose an area with two adjustable shelves above a slant front desk and chest with four serpentine front drawers. The secretary is 30 inches wide and stands on two front claw foot legs and 2 straight back legs 80 inches to the top of the finial at the center of its broken arch top. Inside the desk are three small drawers and several vertical pidgeon holes. The secretary is in average to good used condition for its age with all of its original glass, drawer pulls, etc., though the key for the desk and upper cabinet locks is missing. T is noticeable wear and tear to the finish of the drop down desk surface which includes some water marks. It remains a handsomely styled versatile piece of furniture which can be used in a variety of ways. This item is for timely local pick up only in the Los Angeles, CA area.
