Grab Box Brazilian Soapstone for Stone Carving This is a large box of Brazilian Soapstone " end cuts". "End Cuts" are the extra parts of the stone that was not necessary for the production cut. They are entirely dependent on what stock we are working on at the time. Colors may vary as they are only the colors that are being cut for the week or what is available by stock. Each piece weighs approximately 1 to 5 pounds. The weight of the whole box will be 28 to 32 pounds. The stone will be shipped double boxed in a USPS large flat rate box. This is excellent for carving smaller objects , The picture is merely representational of a group of 1 -5 lbs pieces of Brazilian Soapstone that weigh 28 to 32 lbs and not the exact pieces you will receive but all the stones are of excellent quality and are perfect for stone carving. This soapstone is asbestos-free. Soapstone is compressed talc with a hardness of 1. Even with every precaution in packing some breakage can occur with this stone and is impossible to avoid. Soapstone is great for crafts, mosaics, beads, jewelry, small animal figures, and is easy to carve with a penknife and finish with any kind of rasp or sandpaper.
