Magnificent Gramophone and Typewriter Company (HMV) Senior Monarch circa 1904 I am downsizing my very diverse and exclusive collection of early audio antiquity and you may never see this level of quality again in Australia. It will mostly appear on eBay so everyone has an opportunity to own that one tremendous piece from a world long gone. It will take place slowly over time so I encourage you to save me as a favorite seller and check weekly as you will be surprised, amazed and excited. On offer now is a beautiful timber crafted early model HMV gramophone manufactured around 1904, so it’s over a century old. This was leading technology in its day and represents the marquee of its type and the epitome of excellence. The original company was called the Gramophone and Typewriter Company which later became HMV or His Masters Voice synonymous with Nipper the dog. There were variations and changes in the day so every piece is a masterwork. The sound box is an Exhibition type and the back bracket appears original too. I have posted numerous pictures to assist you but if you would like a shot of a particular part then just ask. It has a triple spring motor and plays beautifully. The case is ornately hand carved and attractively well presented with the overall finish very appealing to any collector. The magnificent large black flower horn presents beautifully and makes this machine a real show piece in any home or collection. This HMV Gramophone is a wonderful item and very collectable to dedicated collector or as a showcase piece. Ask your questions and I will respond as quickly as possible.
