4 3/4" Tall X 4 1/4" wide at base X 3 1/2" wide at top. Transfer printed: "Rememberance of the / 34 REUNION / OF THE G.A.R. / CHICAGO / AUG. 26-30 / 1900". Beautifully done "Grand Army Of The Republic Veterans", circled in print in the Star under the flag and Eagle on Cannonade. Sone fairly light spotting just above that horizontal "line" near the base. Surface line only......does not show on the inside an only the very tip of your nail can feel this light surface line. Smooth with the touch of the finders, so it must have been on this mug for many years.....definitely not damage done by a "blow". A very solid and hefty mug , (just slightly under 1 3/4 Ibs.) with "H / GERMANY" incised in the base and "4/10" incised on the lip edge. That is a very old auction sticker on the base. A couple of the tiniest, "flea bites" on the lip that best be found with a magnifying glass. An important date, reaching the new century after the Civil war. No reserve and a modest opening amount.
