I would like to start this description by saying this is a magnificent piece. It was by far the best, most detailed piece in my collection and was always a central show piece for any of my displays. The gold paint details made it stand out among all the other buildings and the intricate details are amazing. Now for the bad news. When I opened the box for photographing I realized the left side facade light came unglued from the building. T is a picture to show this. At this time I have not located the light fixture mounting but I do have the hanging light and assume the missing mounting is mixed in with other holiday decorations. Whoever wins this auction I will ship the missing piece to as soon as I locate it. I can't guarantee I will find the mounting for the light so please bid accordingly. This is a Department 56 CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY collectors item. You are bidding on the "GRAND CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION" lighted building. This is a retired piece introduced in December of 1996 and retired in December of 1999. The detail in this building is fabulous. One of my favorite features is the 4 arches and the balcony above them. The clock detail with the gold paint brings so much character to the building.
