Exposition universelle de 1900 [ modifier ]

C'est la plus importante exposition universelle en France, elle a attiré 50,8 millions de visiteurs. Quelques héritages et attractions : - un trottoir roulant appelé "Rue de l'avenir", la projection des films des frères Lumière sur écran géant, la première ligne de métro ouverte pour l'exposition (porte de Vincenne- porte Maillot), de nouvelles gares (Orsay, Invalides, Lyon), la fontaine lumineuse et l'usage nocturne de l'électricité.

La gare d'Orsay , le Petit et Grand Palais , le pont Alexandre-III sont construits pour célébrer l' exposition universelle . Le Petit et Grand Palais sont construits sur l'emplacement du Palais de l'Industrie , fruit d'une précédente exposition universelle ( 1855 ). Présentation lors de cette exposition du Cinéorama .

Une grande roue fut construite avenue de Suffren (actuel village suisse). Elle avait un diamètre de 100 mètres et fut démolie en 1937 . Photos

Construite pour l' Exposition Universelle de 1900 avenue de Suffren près du Champs de Mars , non loin de la Tour Eiffel .

Elle avait un diamètre de 100 m et fut démolie en 1937, a son emplacement se trouve le Village Suisse où se trouve 150 antiquaires, décorateurs et galeries.
