Beautiful hand work! Grandma was a prolific quilter: this is one of her finest pieces, done in the mid 1960s. I believe the process involved her old Singer machine to hem the individual hexagons, then hand sewing all the tiny pieces together in this lovely pattern. The fabrics are all cotton, mostly very small floral prints, and off white. Predominant solid colors are soft pinks, lavenders, yellow, blue and orange. The scalloped edging is dark green. The quilt is backed and fits a full size bed: roughly 72" x 48". It has been in storage for many years and could use a good dry cleaning. T are NO tears or rips or stains; just a faint look of age around the edge. This was made with tremendous patience and considerable love. Please give it a good home!
