This is a 1940's Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. It measures 80 x 92". It is made of muslin and calico fabrics. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with 12 stitches to the inch. There are over 4,000 hexagons that measure 1 1/2" in size. The batting is all cotton. The backing is a solid green that matches the binding. The color of the green fabric is the same as used in the patches in the bottom 4 rows of hexagon patches. This is an excellent quilt with no tears or worn spots. The fabric colors are still clear and bright. This quilt has been in our personal collection for the past 25 years but now it is time to part with it as the collection has gotten too large. It is time for someone else to enjoy this marvelous quilt.
