Up for bid is a great 1920’s Northwestern 1 cent matchbookvending machine. The machine vends “Ohio Blue Tip Matches”. It measuresapproximately 13 inches tall by 6 inches long by 4 ½ inches wide. The body of the machine appears to be cast iron and is quite heavy for its size. The machine is all original and overall in good condition. There are no matchbooks inside. The red paint on the exterior surface is heavily worn and shows its age. There is light surface rust on most of the exterior. None of the rust goes through. The decal on the front is surprisingly complete overall with moderate wear on the left side and towards the bottom. The interior mechanism functions as it should when a penny is inserted. I don’t have the key for the top lock on the front or for the lock on the cash box on the bottom. The door for the cash box on the bottom is present and in good shape. The top lock is locked but the cash door lock is unlocked so no key is required to get your money out. It looks like the original label on the bottom is still present but was painted over at some point. This would be great as is or could easily be restored if desired. See pictures for a better idea of condition. Posted with eBay Mobile
