Beautiful Hand Carved Hand Made African Art Bush Spirit Cow Antelope Mask imported by a diplomat from Africa. Representing the Bambara or Bamana tribe this mask features adornments of strips of hide, native cloth & quills binding on nose and horns, left ear just held on with one nail. SEE PHOTOS. Crown terminates in a nice angular shelf detail behind, holes for attachment. This is beautiful, with many indications of age and wear but not an antique. Fantastic decorator piece made 2nd half of 20th C. Measures 24 inches from nose to horn tips, 18 1/2 inches height mounted on stand (included). Some insect damage underneath.
