Antique Framed Tapestry Venice Italy with Gondola Boats. The frame is wonderful in ok shape, some of the gesso on the right side has come off and a couple of minute of hand painted flowers on the right side are missing. You can see from the pictures the design that is on all four corners, the top and the bottom. We were unable to get a whole picture because of the width of this piece. The tapestry is in very good shape except the colors are very faded. T are no rips or tears or even fraying that we can see. As you can see from the photos that this is not an original frame to this tapestry. On the backside the tapestry hangs out about 3" on each side and maybe 1 1/2" to 2" on the top. The pictures also indicate the progress in which the front side has faded if compared to the colors of the tapestry on the back of the frame. T is a cardboard backing that does have a hole but it does not affect the tapestry in any way. This piece measures approximately 23 5/8" x 55 5/8". We try to list all blemishes to avoid any returns.
