GREAT ANTIQUE GOUACHE MONOGRAMM OFB(OSCAR FLORIANUS BLUEMNER) You are watching a nice antique painting with monogramm OFB (Oscar Florianus Bluemner). A great example of traditional landscape created in unusual modernizm style. The piece is even more impressive in person when you can appreciate the nice contrast of green and red. Medium: gouache on paperSignature: Signed lower right with monogramm OFBSize of Piece: Approximately 48 by 40 sm. on the wall and 27,5 by 19 sm. the painting alone. The painting is sold together with the frame. The frame is wooden dark brown with golden stripe and has the minor sighns of age. The painting is also framed with the passeport back paper which got a bit yellowish with the time. Please see photos.Condition: The painting is in ok condition for its age. BIOGRAPHY Oscar Florianus Bluemner (1867-1938)The son and grandson of architects, Oscar Bluemner was born in Prenzlau, Germany, in 1867. He studied painting and architecture at the Royal Academy of Design in Berlin before leaving for New York in 1892. After several years of working as a draftsman in Chicago, Bluemner returned to New York in 1900.
