Upfor auction an antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Faux Marble Mantle clock. This is a beautiful clock that I’m selling for a friend. It’s from her late husband’s family and she’s not aware of any other owners. What has impressed me the most about this clock is its craftsmanship and quality of construction. The clock itself is in great working condition. I’ve wound it and run it for several days. It chimes on the hour and half hour (very cool). I synched it so that the number of chimes and the hour match, though I don’t know if it will go out of synch when I remove the pendulum to get it ready for shipping. The exterior is in amazing condition for something this old. There’s a small chip in the veneer in the upper left hand corner (see photos) and the paint has faded or worn off some of the numbers on the dial but otherwise the veneer, the patina on the metal fixtures and the overall condition is Excellent! The instructions on the back state a patent date of 1880. Also on the back June 6, 1912 is written in pencil along with what looks to be some part numbers (?). Because I’m not a clock authority this is being sold “as found”. I encourage you to examine the pictures using the zoom tool to judge the condition for yourself. The clock measures 14.25”x10.75”x 5.75 (top) and 6.5 (base). Please feel free to contact me with any questions read more
