Hart NJ: TFH. 1967 Hardback. 256 pgs. Tons of photos and Hart's lovely drawings illustrate this guide to the breed. Covers history, history, breeding, color genetics, feeding, care, puppies, training, showing and diseases. CONDITION: Good only. Soiled covers. Moderate wear to corners. I'm not sure if spine is faded or if it's actually blue, rather than purple. Residue of removed label and gray mark on front endpage. Foxing to endpages. Some staining to margins of frontispiece. Binding tight. Pages clean and bright. 3. PET GREAT DANE by Mary K. Johnston & Peggy Seitz Fond du Lac, WI: All-Pets. 1956 Softcover. 64 pgs. It's a shame this lovely little book is not in better shape. The cover drawing is by Lawrence Megargee who, sadly, just isn't as talented as his famous artist father. The All-Pets series does not include any photos, but usually has charming drawings as in the lovely Corynne Snyder pen and ink sketches found CONDITION: Fair. As you can see t's lots of wear to the covers. $1.00 price stamp in top right of cover. About 2 inch tear at bottom of spine. Another tear midpoint of spine.
