A Wonderful Early 19th Century Woman's "Homespun" Utility or "Necessities Bag" in great Blue and White Checked Homespun, Perfect Condition and Great Bright Color.

These bags were carried by woman in the latter part of the 18th and early 19th centuries. They carried "necessities", money, and personals needed when the woman traveled or left the house. This great example is in near perfect condition, it still retains the original braided drawstring. The bag itself is decorated with a nice simple cross stitch design.

It is 8" wide at the bottom and 7" tall.

Typical wear and imperfections with age.
