**NO RESERVE** Up for auction to the highest bidder is a rare embossed tin patent medicine sign for "BLACK CAPS- FOR GONORRHOEA (and) GLEET". This is a product from Canton, Ohio. It measures about 7 X 9 ¾ inches. This is the early variant of this sign and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Wording includes "SENT BY MAIL POSTPAID UNDER CONFIDENTIAL PLAIN WRAPPER". It is recommended as "A TONIC AND RESTORATIVE FOR NERVOUS PROSTRATION, SEXUAL EXHAUSTION, LOST VITALITY OR ANY IMPAIRMENT OF THE NERVE FORCE". T is some general loss of gloss only visible with glaring light and a small straightened bend in the upper right corner. This sign displays better than any other like it I've seen.
