's a really neat old cabinet card image (6 1/2" by 4 1/4") of an extremely tall young woman, Ella Ewing, towering above her mom and dad. I like the way she was posed with her arm stretched straight out above her dad's head. From w her hips are in proportion to her parents' shoulders, she definitely looks to have been all legs. Honestly, I'm somewhat inclined to question how much her shoes may have played a role in her giantess appearance. Nevertheless, Ella was certainly crazy tall for back then, and especially for a woman. I believe she was a national celebrity to some extent, and may have even been a part of some so-called circus sideshow. I think she was born in Gorin, Missouri w this photo was taken by the Husted photography studio. The image is in terrific condition and exhibits excellent focus and tonality, while the card mount is in very good condition and has quite a bit of period pencil notations on the reverse. Really, a very nice and unusual image. Shipping to locations within the U.S. will be $3.00 for first class mail or $5.00 for priority, and insurance -- should you want it (although I do recommend it) -- will be $2.05 and in addition to either of those amounts. I typically ship within 2 business days of receipt of guaranteed funds. You can pay me through PayPal, or by cashier's check, money order or personal check (which will require 7 days to clear before mailing item).
