is a BEAUTIFUL set of original blue-prints (NOT copies, the actual blue ink type drawings)... of the Great Lakes Engineering Works "Maritimer" class ships built during WW-II. T are FOUR blue-prints in total, folded up in an envelope from Port Arthur Shipbuilding and addressed to the "Steamer WILLOWGLEN", which was the ex-JOSEPH X. ROBERT and originally either the LEHIGH or STEELTON, as per the names on these plans. The first drawing is titled "Midship Section". ALL of the blue-prints are titled "Great Lakes Engineering Works, River Rouge, MI, Hull Dept." and have the engineers name, date, approval date, and drawing number. Each one also has a conversion table that lists Builders Hull No. and U.S. Maritime Commission Hull No. and w each hull is to be built, for the WHOLE series of these ships. For example... 525 588 Ashtabula 290 579 River Rouge etc, etc So, back to this first drawing... it is the Midship Section drawn by A.J. Peters Oct. 17, 1941 and is drawing # 113 - 670 with a scale of 1/2" = 1 foot. The second print shows the whole ship and is titled "General Arrangement", 1/16" = 1 foot, by J. Black, Nov. 13, 1941 and approved by the U.S.B.M.I.N. (whatever that is!) on March 25, 1942. It is drawing # 113 - 675.
