STONE ELEPHANT

I thought that this one was gone, but it is :) This is possibly the most beautiful, in terms of marble, carved elephant that I've had to list.......BUT.....its broken! One tusk is broken off (*piece lost, not included*) , and the trunk as been reattached. (VIEW THE FIRST THREE PICTURES BELOW *** these are close-up photos, the damage to the trunk really isn't that obvious, and the tusk is what it is) The stone carving was handcarved in northern India by artisans whom I met while travelling overland from China/Tibet/Nepal many years ago. If you look closely at the photos below, you'll see that a second smaller elephant is carved inside the lattice work of the larger (please don't ask me how they do this, I still don't know :) This elephant statue measures approximately 6 1/4" long x 4 1/2" high x 4" wide. The statue weighs approximately 2 lbs 5 1/2 oz (t's a quarter in the last photo below to help show the size) The statue pictured below is the exact one you will receive.
