This auction is a consignment from one of our clients that we sell for. Item up for auction is an HO scale old time GREAT NORTHERN snow plow. Owner has given the plow the road number of 5718. Item is a scale 37 feet long and this could be a Roundhouse kit with a lot of added detail or it is a kitbash or a kit that I am unfamiliar with. Hand holds, stirrup steps, wire bracing, special arch bar type friction bearing trucks, added detail on the underside, a draw bar rather than a coupler on the back end make this a very interesting and detailed snow plow. It has an MV lense for the headlight but the unit is not lighted and it is not powered. Kit is a combination of wood, plastic, and metal parts. One stirrup step under the door has fallen off so you will need to replace that. The whistle on top has come off but it is taped to the underside of the plow. Owner has painted and weathered the model to make it look believable. Decal is on one side only and is a bit cloudy and noticeable and there is no decal on the other side. This is an HO scale standard gauge model that can stand alone by it self or be put on the head end of an engine for snow plow service. There is no original box and no instruction sheet.
