Welcometo my auction! This is one of loads of great train items I havelisted. This is a great out of production ready to run N scale Santa Fe #8731 ALCO Century C630 powered diesel engine. The C-630 was designed by Alco to compete directly with EMD's SD diesels. One of the last diesels produced by Alco these high horsepower units were purchased by some railroads but not in large numbers. They proved much more popular in Canada. They could be found hauling freight in the 70's in the US and beyond into the 90's in Canada. * Track tested and runs and lights great. Center mounted motor driving both trucks for good pulling power. * Features 5 pole motor, all wheel electrical pickup, gear drive, and great paint and detail. * It's complete, ready to run, and in great as shown condition . No box. * Perfect for running or for the collection. I have loads of great listings for 2009! As always, no stinking reserve or huge handling fees. SHIPPING INFO: I don’t try to make profit on shipping. Buyer pays $5.75 for priority shipping in a nice box within the U.S.. $5.75 airmail to Canada. International airmail shipping for this item is $10. I always COMBINE SHIPPING when possible. I will automatically combine all items from the same day. If you want to combine items from several days please contact me. I'm not one of the increasing number of chumps on ebay that charges $8, $10, or even more to ship one N scale loco parcel post. Many light N scale and other small items can be shipped priority together for $5 or $6. PAYMENT INFO: I always prefer PAYPAL for payments, especially international ones. Items paid with Paypal get very prompt shipping (usually the day after payment). I will also accept cashiers checks, and personal checks payable at a US bank if preferred. However payments through the mail always take time and your item will not ship for some time. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: #1 enjoy the auction! I’ve been on Ebay for about 11 years and enjoy buying and selling I’m a collector that loves cars, planes, trucks, and especially trains. I’m now listing more items then ever, many from my own collection. I try my best to provide accurate descriptions and good photos. I make every attempt to make sure my items are as described. If you find an error in the description before, or after the auction ends please let me know. Every single engine I list is track tested, forward and reverse, on my track. I’m not one of those sellers that just hooks up power to an engine and says it runs great. I oil, service, and clean engines if needed in testing. As a bidder you should make sure you know what you are bidding on. I’m not responsible if you assume an item is something it’s not. I once had a buyer disappointed that the 25 year old Bachmann loco he bought for $15 did not run like his new $90 KATO engine. Different makes and types of engines have different "personalities" and will likely run different and have different levels of detail. Make sure you know what you are buying. Also make sure your own equipment is functional. Recently I have had problems with buyers that have defective power packs, dirty track, or other problems. Such problems will affect the performance of locomotives and may even prevent them from running. So make sure everything you have is working well on your end before bidding. I don’t like doing it, but I have dealt with non paying bidders in the past. If I must I will contact Ebay for a refund of auction fees and leave appropriate feedback. I have years of experience shipping fragile items and I pack things excellent. Rarely has anything happened in shipping however, it is still possible for the post office to lose or destroy something. If you are worried about the post office I will be more then happy to quote insurance or delivery confirmation for you. With all that said, HAVE FUN BIDDING!
