On the original black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine; light blue endpapers; set in fine condition; 1020 including index. I ncludes original pictorial slipcase nearly perfect, with some minor rubbing to the edges. Contents of volume one include: "Riverscape, Creation, The Indian Rio Grande, The Spanish Rio Grande," including two maps; contents for volume two include: "The Mexican Rio Grande, The United States Rio Grande," also includes two maps.United States Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, winner of the Bancroft Prize, and many other Best Book Lists, like the 50 Best Books from Texas.
