WONDERFUL SET OF 6 SILVER SPOONS. SIZE - 5.5 inches long. WEIGHT - 117.8g/3.7 troy oz. DATED - 1785. This is a good quality set of georgian teaspoons in excellent condition with no splits, repairs or dents. Each are crested with A seraphim & latin motto "PROMPTUS ET FIDELIS", meaning 'Ready & Faithful'. This crest & motto are normally associated with the Carruthers Family. Hallmarked by the maker Robert Wilson with no date stamp. One of the spoons has a very slightly bruised bowl (felt but not seen) but still very usable.
