This is a terrific group of 50 pre-linen, standard-sized, paper-finish postcards featuring views from throughout Colorado. The group of postcards breaks down to about two-thirds postally unused; and one-third that were previously mailed. Of those postcards that were previously mailed, the postmarks range from 1905 to 1940, and all still have their postage stamps attached. Eight of the postcards have undivided backs, placing their publication date at earlier than 1907. (Seven of the eight undivided back postcards had been previously mailed, and have hand-written messages in the wide margins next to the front side color image area). The 16 representative scanned images include the following: St. Mary Hospital, Pueblo; Antlers Hotel, Colorado Springs; greetings from Calhan, Colo.; St. Leo's Church, Denver; Post Office, Colorado Springs; East Side High School, Denver; YMCA, Denver; Cliff House, Manitou; City Park, Denver; Sherman Avenue neighborhood with Presbyterian Church, Denver; view from Rollins Pass; Pikes peak viewed from Colorado Springs (embossed color image area); Seven Falls (hand-colored); Turkey Creek Canyon; Big Thompson Canyon (hand-colored); Public Service Building at night, Denver. Conditions of these cards range from good to near-mint. Some have some light edge wear or minor creasing, and some of the oldest postcards read more
