A Great American Wrought Iron Double "Betty" or Cruise Lamp. American, mid 18th century, circa 1740-1760, Great in all aspects. Original hanger and chain. Original shaped and twisted handle. The BEST cut out form. The surface is untouched, uncleaned old quality and patina. Great tool marks throughout. The design of the handles is one of the best. This is a very important piece of American lighting. The lamp is 7 1/2" tall without the handle, 11" with it. The pans are 4" long and just about 2" across. Typical wear and imperfections with age as described above. T is an old uncleaned amount of surface rust that could be easily removed and like usual t is minor edge roughness to the top pan.
