My Uncle was an amateur magician and he taught me beginning in 1989. He gave me this book in 1992, 2 years before his death. Over the last 10 years I have lost touch with magic as a hobby and obsession, and I thought it might be nice to have someone else enjoy this "Bible of Magic tricks" as much as I did. Condition of all written pages is excellent. The only thing to forgive is the outside spine, which appears to have faded and have foxing, but the covers are good and solid. Also the front and back blank pages have some yellowing, but all pages are white and crisp with no odor. It was published in 1947 and has 1006 pages, covering with great illustrations and instructions all the great magic tricks, from cards to ropes, to mind tricks, to even sawing a woman in half. It truly is the holy grail of magic instruction and it rises head and shoulders above the rest of the books written before and since. This is a large and heavy book. It is inscribed in 2 places: Inside front cover says Property of Geo.E.DeRomer. The next page is inscribed to me from my Uncle: Ken, This book lists every magic trick proven to man with instructions. I know none are beyond your ability to perform. I have 37 volumes, I want you to have one, Lee. Enjoy this heirloom...my Uncle would be pleased to know it is being used and enjoyed by someone.
