Up for auction one genuine Greek Jug - this is a type of Skyphos. Probably made in Athens. This artifact arrived in my collection about 10 years ago and for the life of me I cannot recollect w it came from. It is Greek and is possible older than 350 BC (it does not have classical lines). It is has a brown and black glaze, however, the front painting may have been touched up at some time. The jug has a spout and is in fairly good condition and the photographs illustrate the condition. Size Diameter = 3.135 inches (7.96 CM) Height = 4.250 inches (10.79 CM) Width including Handles = 5.375 inches (13.65 CM) Glazed clay potBecause of the uncertainty of the period of this item I am setting the price at a reasonable level. If someone wants to own an ancient and interesting artifact for just a few dollars now is your chance. It is very displayable. I am not a dealer I am a collector who is reducing the number of items in my Greek, Roman and Egyptian collection. I have run out of room. These item were collected worldwide about 10 to 20 years ago when traveling on business and keeping myself sane visiting antique stores. This is one nice piece as you can see from the photographs. If you collect such items then you owe it to yourself to bid. Dont miss it. If you have any questions please ask. My Guarantee - The item as shown is genuine. However, if the buyer finds that it has been misrepresented on ebay in any way then that buyer has my assurance that they can return it (provided it is in the same condition) at any time - and I mean at any time anytime - just show proof.
