RARE ~ GREEN STRIPE ~ Niagara ~ China LARGE PITCHER Up for auction is a great, vintage straight sided PITCHER in the Green stripe pattern commonly referred to as "Niagara" manufactured by Mayer China of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. This classic heavy-weight restaurant ware / diner pattern or a variation of it was made by virtually every U.S. manufacturer of Restaurant Ware China including Syracuse, Buffalo, Shenango, Mayer, McNicol, Iroquois, Homer Laughlin, Walker, Wallace & Tepco etc. GREAT condition showing normal light use - mostly on bottom rim w it sat on table. Super-Shiny glaze. (Please See & Enlarge pictures). No chips, cracks or crazing. A few very minor mfg glaze imperfections/glaze dimples - as is found in this type china. Pitcher is not dated, but backstamped with an early Mayer China mark used in the 1920's-30's. A very collectible vintage pattern that will bring back memories of the bygone days of the classic diner. Starting bid LOW !! This HUGE water or milk pitcher measures a just over a Whopping 6 1/4" tall & 7 3/8" across from spout to handle. Holds a little over 5 cups liquid.
